How to take off skin from sunburn!?

ok so i had a sunburn and i started to peal my skin! and now it lucks ugly!! now that i read that you were so pose to let it byitself come off i dont know what to do!! tommorow i am going to a pool party and i dont want to look stupid with me sunburn and my skin peeling! by the way its on my back not on my face!!
