Can I sue direct t.v. for giving out my account and personal info which lead to fraud charges on my credit?

direct tv installed everything at the wrong house, gave the people at the wrong address all of my personal and account information, then when they realized what they had done they did not uninstall nor did they close the account but they started a new account and finally installed my cable package at the right location. come to find out 6 months later that the 1st account was still open and they have been charging me for both accounts and i have fraudulent charges charged off on my credit report due to their mistake. now they are not trying to fix it and have billed me for over $1000 wort of charges.
