Skin pealing under my armpit, Is that bad?

I was scratching my armpit and found that some skin was pealing off and after this i checked my other armpit and found that skin was pealing off there to. I do not know if this is a bad thing, i don't think that it is but i would like to know if anyone else has had this happen to them... its kind of gross. Thanks.
