Why does part of my gum peal?

My gum peals at the roof of my mouth mainly by the gap of my 2 center teeth but sometime in the very center of the roof it doesn't peal enough to bleed but it does peal enough to hurt espesially when i eat. It heals but as soon as is heals it starts to peal again. Why is it doing this???
